Customers can take quite a while to change their buying habits. One way that we can encourage and modify these habits is through our sales and marketing activities. One activity with a very fast pay-back is selling more products to our existing customers. If you have a customer who is buying one type of product from you, include as a gift or as an incentive or introduce additional items in your product range. For instance, if you have a customer who purchases coffee products from you, then they are an obvious site for also buying tea bags, disposable cups, ceramic cups etc.
